FHTA is pleased to announce the Second Annual FHTA Educational Eventing Camp was another great success. Please go HERE to find a slideshow and quotes from happy campers!

FHTA sanctions a circuit of events and shows put on by local organizers especially with the competitors in mind. FHTA does not host competitions, but we coordinate, compile, and bi-annually distribute a statewide eventing omnibus to notify members of venues and dates.

In addition, members benefit from FHTA educational activities such as clinics, camps, and seminars conducted under the supervision of experienced professionals, all aimed at educating riders to improve skills and safety. The annual Awards Luncheon is an opportunity to have informal discussions with eventing professionals and fellow competitors as well as receive recognition in the form of achievement awards

FHTA members earn qualifying scores in dressage, show jumping and cross-country in order to achieve recognition in the form of FHTA Titles. Titles will be awarded at Starter, Intro, Beginner Novice, Novice, Training and Preliminary levels in Dressage, Stadium and Cross-Country. Qualifying scores can be achieved in Dressage by scoring 60% (40 penalty points) or better; and in Stadium and Cross-Country by riding a Clear Round (no jump penalties and within the time allowed). 2 Qualifying Scores earns a Leg, 4 Legs earns a FHTA Title.

FHTA provides riders of all ages and abilities the opportunity to increase their knowledge of equestrian sports through achieving qualifying scores, legs and titles. Traditionally, show circuits require riders to compete against each other in order to achieve recognition. FHTA titles reward the rider who has achieved a standard of excellence through qualifying scores. FHTA members have the unique opportunity to achieve FHTA legs and titles while at the same time competing for traditional ribbons and prizes provided by the individual events and shows. For example, in a particular dressage class, 1 competitor will achieve first place and receive a blue ribbon and prize from show management – no matter what their score may be; however, any number of the participants who are FHTA members may achieve a FHTA qualifying score by obtaining 60% or above.

Don't forget! Your Qualifying Scores are cumulative and have no expiration date! If you haven't earned a Title yet, ALL your scores continue to count towards your Title(s).
